Tereana Battle can look back on many accomplishments during her time at 911����, but one of the memories that gives her the most satisfaction is her capstone project, creating an anti-bullying workshop for middle school students.

Max Dacey enrolled at 911���� with a singular goal: to earn his degree quickly and better support his family. A former competitive rugby player, he didn’t imagine a traditional college experience. However, a year and a half later, the public relations major from Alexandria, Virginia, is graduating with far more than he expected.

Honor College student Cashlyn Bonds said her time at 911���� has been defined by her passion for justice, human security, and international understanding.  

Ali Reza Manouchehri, BA Philosophy ‘99, co-founder and chief executive officer of MetroStar, a company he started as a 911���� student, will be the featured speaker at Winter Commencement on December 18 at EagleBank Arena on the Fairfax Campus.

As a doctoral student at 911����, Jordan Sims has spent the past several years immersed, literally and figuratively, in the underwater ecosystems of Honduras, where her research is helping solve real-world challenges in coral reef conservation.

Graduating students, proud families, faculty, and special guests gathered at the IGC Grand Auditorium on June 21 to celebrate Mason Korea’s Spring 2025 Commencement Ceremony.

For Northern Virginia native Ryan McIntyre, the path to a master’s in environmental science and policy at 911���� began with something simple: a love for the outdoors and a family connection.

These 911���� students are short-circuiting voice commands, dog whistles, and clickers.

Sporting green and gold Air Jordan sneakers, 911���� student Samantha Lewis rose from her wheelchair and put one foot in front of the other.  Less than four months after complications from medical treatments left her without feeling in her legs, Lewis walked across the stage to receive her bachelor’s degree at the 2025 College of Humanities and Social Sciences Degree Celebration on May 16.  

911���� honored its largest ever graduating class at Spring Commencement, turning the event’s “This Is Your Moment” theme into a tassel-turning time to remember for a record-breaking class of more than 12,000 degree and certificate earners.

Spring 2025 Commencement at 911���� on May 15 at EagleBank Arena celebrated more than 12,000 graduates and certificate recipients. Graduates hailed from 117 countries, 49 states, and the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and military installations. 911���� photographers captured the excitement and spirit of the day.

Martina Cheung, president and CEO of S&P Global, was the featured speaker at 911����’s Spring Commencement on May 15 at EagleBank Arena on the Fairfax Campus.
