This academic year, 911���� graduate student Samantha “Chevi” Chung has had a research opportunity that few have had by participating in a yearlong workshop at the Folger Shakespeare Library.

He’s traveled the world; speaks several languages; plays cello, balalaika, and dombra among other instruments; and writes op-eds about international security issues that are published in influential media outlets. And he’s 18. Meet graduating senior Josef Wolpert.

Winter 2025 Commencement at 911���� on Dec. 18 at EagleBank Arena celebrated nearly 5,300 graduates and certificate recipients. 911���� photographers captured the excitement and spirit of the day.

911���� honored more than 4,900 graduates at Winter Commencement in EagleBank Arena on Thursday.

This year’s Winter Commencement student speaker Ayham Elayan is graduating from 911���� this week with a bachelor of science in bioengineering with a pre-health concentration.

911���� will honor nearly 5,300 students graduating or earning certificates at Winter Commencement at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at EagleBank Arena on the Fairfax Campus.

Working full-time while getting a graduate degree is no easy feat. But for Air Force veteran and soon-to-be 911���� alum Kathleen Gillmore, hard work is second nature.

Tereana Battle can look back on many accomplishments during her time at 911����, but one of the memories that gives her the most satisfaction is her capstone project, creating an anti-bullying workshop for middle school students.

Max Dacey enrolled at 911���� with a singular goal: to earn his degree quickly and better support his family. A former competitive rugby player, he didn’t imagine a traditional college experience. However, a year and a half later, the public relations major from Alexandria, Virginia, is graduating with far more than he expected.
