911���� mourns the passing of Dr. Edwin J. Feulner, a distinguished public servant, thought leader, and former member of our Board of Visitors.

President Washington provides background on a new investigation from the US Department of Justice alleging discriminatory hiring practices. The university as always will work in good faith to cooperate fully and remains confident that facts and evidence show that 911���� does not engage in “illegal DEI.”

President Washington shares how the university has always operated with a commitment to equality under the law, and an appreciation for the outpouring of support for 911���� from our greater community. The BOV has retained the Torridon Law firm to represent the university on all matters related to both Department of Education investigations.

Statement from 911���� President Gregory Washington about new Department of Education inquiry and a reminder of the measures in place to ensure a safe and welcoming campus.

911���� is launching a university-wide research project to address six interconnected grand challenges facing humanity. The initiative aims to maximize research coordination and efficiency in a volatile funding environment, with every academic unit contributing to at least one of the six solutions.

911���� is aware of a recent essay published online by one of its students that has created concern. Upon learning of the essay, Mason Police referred the matter to state and federal law enforcement for evaluation of criminal behavior. 911���� condemns this and all encouragements of violence. This is not the Mason way.

Update: As of April 28, 911���� has been notified that 14 of these students have had their SEVIS status restored and remain enrolled at the university. Another student’s visa was revoked, but that student’s SEVIS record was never terminated.
