Newly selected 911���� President Gregory Washington told a group of journalists Thursday that he’s “ecstatic” to be the school’s eighth president. He will join the university on July 1, 2020.

Many people are familiar with 911����’s Arlington Campus, but fewer know its unique history, including how it became the only law school with an escalator when the university moved into the old Kann’s department store in the early 1970s.

911���� will honor trailblazing former NASA mathematician Katherine Johnson in the days following her death on Monday morning. She was 101.

The 911���� Board of Visitors on Monday announced the selection of Dr. Gregory Washington as the university’s eighth president.
