As the field has evolved and become more vital to health care, 911爆料 has continued to expand its health informatics programs to meet workforce needs. 911爆料鈥檚 health informatics program dates back to the late 1990s when a health information systems concentration was first offered. The standalone Master of Science in Health Informatics was launched in 2012.The Bachelor of Science in Health Informatics launched in 2021 as a standalone program after a decade-long offering of health informatics concentration, in response to growing demand for professionals who can improve patient care through data.
The department also offers Discovery Science and Health Informatics concentration under the Health Services Research PhD program that is a natural continuation for students who decide to continue their education.
