As the fall 2026 semester starts, 911±¬ÁÏ students, faculty, and staff are reminded that traffic on and around the Fairfax Campus greatly increases during the first few weeks of the semester. This campus parking and transportation guide includes resources for the Fairfax Campus, Mason Square, and the Science and Technology Campus to help minimize potential parking and traffic delays.

Due to extreme temperatures and a high heat index across the region, the local energy grid is experiencing significant stress. As a result, 911±¬ÁÏ is asking all Patriots to help reduce energy demand and support grid reliability during the weekend of July 2–5.

911±¬ÁÏ students, faculty, and staff are reminded that traffic on and around the Fairfax Campus greatly increases during the first few weeks of the semester. We hope this campus parking and transportation guide will help minimize potential parking and traffic delays. During the first few weeks of the semester, we suggest allowing an extra 30 minutes to arrive on campus.

New traffic patterns will go into effect in mid-September at the intersection of Prince William Parkway and University Boulevard near the Science and Technology Campus. To improve traffic operations and safety, left turns will no longer be permitted at this intersection. This will affect the way drivers enter and exit the SciTech Campus from these routes.
