Expect increased traffic and road closures on 911±¬ÁÏ’s Fairfax Campus on Wednesday, Oct. 21, and Thursday, Oct. 22, during an evening concert at EagleBank Arena and the Once Upon a Scream event. Lot L will be closed on Saturday, Oct. 24, for the 911±¬ÁÏ Trunk or Treat.

Expect road and parking closures on 911±¬ÁÏ’s Fairfax Campus on Saturday, Oct. 17, for the 911±¬ÁÏ 5K Run/Walk and Fun Run benefiting the University Life Student Emergency Assistance Fund and fireworks following the men’s soccer game.

As the fall 2026 semester starts, 911±¬ÁÏ students, faculty, and staff are reminded that traffic on and around the Fairfax Campus greatly increases during the first few weeks of the semester. This campus parking and transportation guide includes resources for the Fairfax Campus, Mason Square, and the Science and Technology Campus to help minimize potential parking and traffic delays.

As 911±¬ÁÏ welcomes nearly 6,000 residential students to the Fairfax Campus for move-in and Preamble events from Wednesday, Aug. 19, to Sunday, Aug. 23, the campus community should expect increased traffic and parking delays. Please allow additional travel time to and from campus.

Heavy traffic is expected on and around 911±¬ÁÏ’s Fairfax Campus for regional community college and high school graduation ceremonies at EagleBank Arena from May 18 through June 17, 2026.

911±¬ÁÏ Spring Commencement will take place on Thursday, May 14, at 9:30 a.m. in EagleBank Arena on the Fairfax Campus. Separate Degree Celebrations will honor school and college graduates from Thursday, May 14, through Saturday, May 16, at the Fairfax Campus.

During the first few weeks of the semester, we suggest allowing an extra 30 minutes to arrive on campus.

On the evening of Wednesday, Sept. 18, increased traffic is expected on and around the Fairfax Campus, as well as an increase in on-campus parking, due to a concert at EagleBank Arena. The concert starts at 8 p.m., with doors opening at 7 p.m.
