Biography
Mr. Buhler has more than sixteen years’ experience working in the accounting industry, having begun his career with Deloitte in corporate auditing. In his role as SVP & Chief Accounting Officer at Playa Hotels & Resorts (NASDAQ: PLYA), Mr. Buhler is responsible for leading the company’s accounting, financial systems, internal controls, and financial reporting. Mr. Buhler holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and a Master’s in accountancy from the Marriott School of Management at Brigham Young University and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) licensed in Virginia. He is also a member of the American Institute of CPAs and has been recognized as one of Washington D.C.’s Top Accounting Executives by Recognize DC.
